Funerals

Funerals

A funeral is used to mark the end of a person's life here on earth. Family and friends come together to express grief, give thanks for the life lived and commend the person into God's keeping.  These can be a small, quiet ceremony or a large occasion in a packed church.

Everyone is entitled to a service (funeral) at their local parish church regardless of whether they attended church or not.

If you need to organise a funeral, do get in touch with our church warden Emma to talk about the date, time and the service itself.

We want to be able to offer support and comfort both while you plan this important service and in the time following as you come to terms with your loss.
